Your blood pressure must be below 140 / 90 at the time of your DOT examination. We do our very best to provide a low-stress, comfortable environment to avoid “white coat syndrome”. It also helps to avoid caffeine and decongestants such as Sudafed. Get a good night’s sleep prior to your exam, too. If you do not pass, do not despair. We will give you a temporary card and allow you to be retested. You will not be recharged for your exam. If you take medication for blood pressure and it is controlled, you can still get a 1-year card.
